Welcome to Open Door Access
I am Nancy Krusen, and I created Open Door Access to be your expert in the science of doing and living. I am an occupational therapist and a geriatric care manager. I work with people of all ages in a variety of settings and have learned that we each have similar desires regardless of age or circumstances: we want to be able to take care of ourselves and we want to be connected to the people we love. I started Open Door Access to create accessible communities, and am gradually expanding the depth and breadth of services I provide as I learn what people want. My passion as a health care provider is to help people to live the way they want to live, where they want to live, with self-determination and dignity. I enjoy helping people identify their priorities and choose the best possible solutions.
I am originally from Dallas, Texas, though I now consider the Colorado mountains my home. I currently serve on the faculty at Colorado State University, teaching graduate students in the Department of Occupational Therapy. I also volunteer with state and national professional associations, staying current in my teaching and learning. I enjoy an active life including opportunities to refresh myself. In my spare time, I hike, read, do needlework, play the flute, volunteer in the public school system and prepare endless meals for an irregular parade of kidlings. All these things and more I do to achieve balance in my life in order to provide excellent service for the people who are important in your life. Thank you for visiting me at Open Door Access. I look forward to hearing from you.
